The short version. Use Pwesto to run a lawful booth. Your data stays yours. Pwesto records your sales but never moves money, and it isn't a BIR-accredited receipt system. It's free during early access and provided as is, so sync often and keep your own records for taxes.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Pwesto ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Pwesto, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Pwesto.
If you use Pwesto for a business, you agree to these terms on behalf of that business too.
The service
Pwesto is an offline-first point-of-sale app for event and bazaar vendors. It records products, stock, events and sales on your device, and syncs them to our server when you're online.
Pwesto is in early access. Features will change, some may be removed, and things may sometimes break while we build.
Price
Pwesto is free during early access. We plan to offer an optional paid Pro plan later. We'll never charge you without your clear, separate agreement, and we'll give you notice before any feature you use moves to a paid plan.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at aaronjohn.tamayo29@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
- Don't sell or transfer your account to someone else.
Your data
- Your data is yours. Your products, events, sales and uploaded images belong to you.
- You give us permission to store, copy, sync, back up and display your data only as needed to run Pwesto for you. This permission ends when you delete your data or your account, apart from backup copies that age out as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
Offline use and sync
Sales are saved on your device first and synced when a connection is available. Until a sale syncs, the only copy is on your device. Clearing your browser's site data, uninstalling the app, or losing the device before it syncs can lose that data. Open Pwesto while online regularly so it can sync. We can't recover data that never reached our server.
Payments and money
Pwesto doesn't process, hold or transfer money. When a buyer pays with GCash, Maya or QR Ph, the money goes from the buyer to you through that provider, and Pwesto only records the method you tag. Always check that a payment arrived in your own e-wallet or bank app. We aren't responsible for payments between you and your buyers, or for the services of payment providers.
Receipts and taxes
Pwesto isn't a BIR-accredited point-of-sale system, and the receipts and reports it makes aren't official receipts or invoices. You're responsible for your own business registration, invoicing, bookkeeping and taxes. Pwesto's reports are a helpful record, not tax advice.
Acceptable use
Don't use Pwesto to:
- sell anything illegal, or record sales you know are unlawful
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights
- access other people's accounts, or attack, overload or probe the service
- copy, reverse engineer or resell Pwesto, except where the law allows it
- upload malicious files, or images you don't have the right to use
Our content
Pwesto's name, logo, design and code belong to us. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
Availability
We work to keep Pwesto running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or right for every purpose. Because Pwesto is offline-first, the POS keeps working on your device even when our server is down.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, Pwesto isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
Ending your use
You can stop using Pwesto and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to get a copy of your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Pwesto grows. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Pwesto after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
The laws of the Republic of the Philippines govern these terms. Any dispute goes to the proper courts of the Philippines.
